NAME: Becomes-grade SHORT NAME: becomes_grade LENGTH: 2 TYPE: A SOURCE OF DATA: Campus extract SIMS SOURCE FILE: SIMSREG DEFINITION / CODES: Grade to which an "I" grade defaults if not changed by the instructor by the deadline set by the campus. Instructors issuing an "I" (Incomplete) grade will also record the becomes_grade, or the grade that will replace the "I" grade if the work is not made up by the appropriate deadline. If the instructor does not change the "I" grade by the deadline, the "I" grade automatically defaults to the becomes_grade. Note: Grade changes and "defaulting" to the becomes_grade are maintained by the campus and take place at the campus level only. The resulting grade is never updated in SIMS, however it is reflected in subsequent semesters in the student's cumulative grade data (GPR, GP, earned SH, etc.) as appropriate.

NAME: Building-1 SHORT NAME: build_1 LENGTH: 5 TYPE: A SOURCE OF DATA: SIMS derived (SIMSSOCAD), Campus extract (SIMSSOCEX) SIMS SOURCE FILE: SIMSSOCAD, SIMSSOCEX DEFINITION / CODES: Abbreviated name of the building where the class will be held. No name will normally be given for "HR ARR" (hours arranged) classes. Some classes meet at different days and times during the week. Build_1 refers to the building where the first meeting segment of the class is held. Build_2 and build_3 refer to the building of the second and third meeting segments of the class. Will eventually be used as a key (along with room) to link schedule of classes to facilities data.
