Like edlvl, d_edlvl is used in combination with 3 other fields: degree-major, degree and degree-organizational-structure. The different combinations of values in these 4 fields are campus specific and are edited by SIMS for valid combinations. Invalid combinations of values in d_major/degree/d_edlvl/d_orgstr will result in "

A student who completes more than one type of degree or certificate in a semester will have a corresponding d_major/d_edlvl/d_orgstr for each degree or certificate completed. D_edlvl is used in determining academic level (set as UG for undergraduate degrees, and GR for graduate degrees) and classification level (set as classified).
